Thulani Hlatshwayo and Lance Davids will not be available for the Urban Warriors clash against relegation rivals Chippa United
Hlatshwayo picked up a red card against Wits in the dying embers of the match and the solid defender will not be available for the next two games. Ajax will have to rely on youngster Abbubaker Mobara as Nazeer Allie is still battling with his fitness.
Davids, an influential midfielder throughout the season, picked up his fourth yellow card of the campaign against Wits, meaning he will have to sit out with a one match ban. With the squad lacking experience and depth, Jan Versleijen will have to make some vital decisions in order to pick a side which can defeat the resurgent Chippa.
Bidvest Wits defeated the Urban Warriors 2-0 in their last PSL match, meaning the side still sits in the relegation zone with 23 points from 26 games.
Chippa United, coming off a surprise win over Moroka Swallows and a draw against Platinum Stars have moved to 20 points and can topple their local rivals if they win at home on Saturday night, due to superior goal difference.
The Chili Boyz rise in form and Ajax Cape Town's inconsistency could mean the PSL stalwarts may end the weekend at the foot of the table.
Following the derby clash, it does not get any easier for Ajax as they are set to meet league leaders Kaizer Chiefs at home.
