Whilst Mamelodi Sundowns is struggling to find the back of the net lately, Edward Manqele has told Goal.com that he is worried about their lost touch
“I am a bit worried. I am trying by all means to give my best, but things are just not coming my way. To be honest with you, this is really frustrating me and I don’t even know when was the last time I scored,” said Manqele.
He added that with the arrival of Pitso Mosimane at the club, he is hoping that his game will improve as the coach has been assessing him on a one on one basis.
“His arrival has been of great benefit, although I have not scored but there is a lot of improvement in my game. His other concern was my weight and we are slowly getting there,” he said.
The striker also added that not scoring goals for Sundowns is also limiting his chances of getting a Bafana national cap.
“It will be difficult to get a national call up. I believe that it all starts at the club, and that is where I need to prove myself first. Nevertheless I will continue pushing myself hard and hopefully the results will come,” he said.
