Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane has said that he is committed to turning his club into a local dominant force.

“I want to turn Sundowns into (the local) AC Milan. The first step to doing this will be to cut all the players wages and make it reasonable. After that I will then see who is here for the money, or the passion of the game and the club,” said Mosimane.

“The first step to doing this will be to cut all the players wages and make it reasonable. After that I will then see who is here for the money, or the passion of the game and the club,” said Mosimane.

Mosimane said he is happy that the management of the club and president Patrice Motsepe are behind him.

“I have only been with Sundowns for about four months, and so the management knows where I took the club from. They have shown much belief in me and I am willing to give back to them,” he said.

Mosimane said that winning is a process and it will take time to place his signature on the team.

“For now we must focus on finishing in the top eight and the restructuring of the team. It took Orlando Pirates over five years to finally win the league. And it has taken Chiefs years to win this year’s league (The race is still on), but they are the possible candidates,” he said.
