Chiefs will have to battle Dikwena without their suspended captain Itumeleng Khune who picked up his fourth yellow card of the season against Swallows on Saturday night

Kaizer Chiefs technical team has started preparing for their game against Platinum Stars without skipper Itumeleng Khune who picked up his fourth yellow card over the weekend.

Khune was booked for tripping Lerato Chabangu in the penalty box against Swallows, but made amends by saving the resultant spot-kick to keep AmaKhosi in the game.

Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter is expected to start with Brilliant Khuzwayo in goal, as the former AmaZulu stopper has consistently made the 18-men squad.

However, Chiefs have struggled to win games without Khune this season and the introduction of inexperienced Khuzwayo at this crucial stage of the season against the stubborn Dikwena side could backfire.

AmaKhosi still have Arthur Bartman who has always filled in for Khune whenever the Bafana keeper was unavailable, but Baxter is convinced that Khuzwayo is up for a challenge.

Meanwhile, the Soweto giants will welcome their influential midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane from suspension following his red card against Golden Arrows.
