Bryce Moon reportedly fined for culpable homicide

Former Bafana star Bryce Moon has reportedly been fined R60 000 after he was found guilty of culpable homicide

After being found guilty of culpable homicide over a week ago, Bidvest Wits midfielder Bryce Moon has reportedly been fined R60, 000 or two years imprisonment by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning according to Eyewitness News.

The former Bafana star was convicted of culpable homicide following the death of Mavis Ncube back in 2009. Ncube, a domestic worker, was hit by Moon’s car while walking in the streets of Sandton.

Moon has reportedly been ordered to pay the fine before the end of August, although R20, 000 was paid immediately, the rest will paid in instalments of R10, 000 a month until the deadline.

Eyewitness News also reported that Moon’s drivers licence has been suspended for the next six months.

The Bidvest Wits player was acquitted of attempted murder, negligent and reckless driving and driving under the influence alcohol.
