Siphiwe Tshabalala tells Goal.com that Chiefs haven’t won the league title as yet despite being six points ahead of second placed Platinum Stars
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala has told Goal.com that they are not going to think too much about the possibility of lifting the PSL title this season despite being four games away from their first league title in eight years.
Shabba believes that the winners will be decided on the final day of the season and he added that Chiefs still have tough games to play including other title chasers Platinum Stars.
“The title race is not over yet and I think it will be decided on the final day of the season. Yes, we are on top and have a chance to win it, but we are not getting ahead of ourselves,” Shabba told Goal.com.
“It’s one game at a time for us, because the last games of the season are very tough. Platinum Stars are still very much in it and they will give us a huge challenge,” he said.
Tshabalala is amongst the senior players who have not tasted the league glory with Chiefs since joining from Free State Stars a few seasons ago, but he deeply knows that this season could be the season he’s been dreaming of his entire life.
“It will be a dream come true, because every professional player wants to win the league title and winning it with a team like Chiefs will be an honour,” said Shabba.
“However, I am not excited about anything because other teams can still win it. So, it is important for us to be calm going into the final games of the season,” added Siphiwe Tshabalala.
