Goal.com nominates the top three standout performers for the AmaKhosi- have your say in the comments section below!Kaizer Chiefs, currently topping the PSL table and looking likely to win their first PSL title in eight years, have counted on a large pool of quality players to help them secure glory this season.
Focusing on a fast-paced brand of football, Chiefs have been enhanced by impeccable defending, control in the midfield and the destructive pace of their forwards.
Chiefs have scored more goals than any other side this campaign with 46 goals and have conceded the least, with only 17 goals being scored against them. On Saturday night they proved that the title should go to Naturena this campaign, with a 3-1 demolition of Soweto rivals Moroka Swallows.
Out of the selection of outstanding AmaKhosi performers this season, Goal.com South Africa has chosen three candidates and it is up to the readers to decide who will be named Kaizer Chief's Player of the Season for the 2012/2013 campaign.
ITUMELENG KHUNE | GOALKEEPER
An ever-present force in goal, Itumeleng Khune has enjoyed yet another stellar season for his club. Stuart Baxter has stated that he believes the keeper is the "best in Africa" and is the one of the most vital cogs in the Chiefs' machine.
With his acrobatic saves, inspiring confidence and legendary distribution Khune has only conceded 17 goals this season in the league. A commander in goal and a strong character off and on the pitch, Khune continues to embrace his talent and has not looked back this season, notching up many match-winning performances for the AmaKhosi.
The 25-year-old may have raised some eyebrows this season and can only improve his game as he gets older. Already a Chiefs and Bafana Bafana veteran, Khune has certainly been a brick wall for Chiefs and will hope to finish the 2012/2013 with PSL silverware firmly in his grasp.
SIMPHIWE TSHABALALA | MIDFIELDER
Shabba rose from the ashes of a poor Africa Cup of Nations for Bafana Bafana and has been an imposing force for Chiefs in the second half of the season. Utilising his vision, bursts of pace and technique the midfielder has enjoyed playing in more of a central role.
After 24 matches, Tshabalala has scored four goals but his true impact has been his involvement in the majority of Chiefs' attacking moves. Linking up well with the likes of Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Bernard Parker, Tshabalala has become Chiefs' major creative force.
Despite a few lacklustre periods this campaign, the midfielder's recent performances have aided the league leaders' quest for PSL glory. As the season comes to a close, Shabba will hope he can help Chiefs attain their first PSL title in eight years and his first piece of domestic league silverware.
BERNARD PARKER| STRIKER
The league's top scorer - Bernard Parker's performance this season has not only been about scoring goals. A true workhorse and creative genius, Parker has scored 13 goals in 24 games this season. With netting a double against Moroka Swallows his latest feat the striker's true influence comes from his hard-running ability and stamina.
Often involved in Chiefs' attacking moves, Parker has all the weapons in his armory including a powerful strike, a superb crossing ability and a lot of gas in the tank. With his movement on and the off the ball causing many PSL defences major problems, Parker has been a revelation for Chiefs and is the side's stand-out forward in terms of goals and never-say-die attitude towards the game. Backed by his almost indefatigable source of energy, Parker has not let up for a second this season.
