New AmaZulu assistant coach Wilfred Mugeyi told Goal.com that he will improve striker Bongani Ndulula's confidence. The player is struggling to break into the first team
The former Chippa United coach stated that he will be working closely on the AmaZulu players technique and after that, Usuthu fans can expect to see the best from them. Mugeyi will give Ndulula, fondly known as Drogba, special attention.
“'Drogba' has so much potential and I think I am going to help him achieve his goals and become a regular in the starting line-up. Once I have worked on his confidence, he will come in and score for USuthu,” said Mugeyi.
AmaZulu needs to focus to win almost every game to move safely out of the relegation zone, and in order to achieve that they need to finish off their opportunities. Mugeyi will also be working with Ayanda Dlamini who scored the winning goal for USuthu against Celtic.
“Dlamini is a great player, but I need to help him with his finishing. At times he doesn’t get comfortable with the ball, and that is what causes him to miss some opportunities at times,” he said.
It will not be the first time since the two coaches will be working together. Mugeyi confirmed that he and Rosslee have been very close in the past when they would meet and just have coffee when they were based in Cape Town.
"I have a great relationship with Craig. I believe that we share the same vision and I know what he wants and he knows what I want as well.
“My main focus will be on the strikers and ensuring that the players are using the correct technique. This is what I was doing at Ajax and I hope to build from there,” he said.
