Golden Arrows striker Bongi Ntuli produced a great performance against Maritzburg United on Wednesday night
The 21-year-old striker came in as a substitute to rescue Golden Arrows by scoring two goals after trailing against Maritzburg in the derby. His goal came within two minutes after he came in to the match and it was a super finish after Thanduyise Khuboni’s initial shot.
Ntuli, who was promoted to the Arrows first team after playing well in their reserve side, has now scored six goals for the first team this season.
Coming from the bench is not something new to him as he had to face a similar challenge when he arrived at top flight football in 2012.
His goals have now seen him being in the top twenty leading goalscorers in the PSL this season.
It was Maritzburg that had opened the lead with goals coming from Orlando Smeeks in nine minutes. The other Maritzburg goal came from Cuthberth Malajila who once again registered his name on the scoresheet.
Despite the draw Maritzburg are still in the top five of the Premier League and coach Ernst Middendorp will be hoping to maintain the lofty spot.
