Zimbabwean midfielder Willard Katsande tells Goal.com that Amakhosi haven’t won the league as yet, but they have a great chance of winning it

Kaizer Chiefs hard-tackling midfielder Willard Katsande has told Goal.com that he feels anything is possible as they are in the last five league games of the season.

However, Katsande believes that Amakhosi have an edge over other title chasers, but maintains that they are taking it one game at a time.

“I think the league hasn’t been won as yet. We need to continue working hard, because anything can happen in the last five games,” Katsande told Goal.com.

“Other teams still have a chance to win the league, but I feel we have a greater chance of winning it. We are taking it one game at a time, because we don’t want to put pressure on ourselves,” he said.

Amakhosi will not be in action until on Saturday night against Moroka Swallows, but Katsande believes that they will come back firing, as the break will give them an opportunity to recharge their batteries after a tough game against Bloem Celtic on Saturday night.

“I don’t think it’s going to affect us. Actually we will welcome the break, because we are going to get a chance to rest and surely come back stronger against Swallows,” said Katsande.

The Zimbabwean international has done all the dirty work for Chiefs in the middle of the park and believes that he has done well to protect his defence despite getting several yellow cards and a red card this season

“It is my job to protect our defence. I have to be tough because my defence trust me in front of them and if the referee gives me a card then it is out of my control,” he said.

Katsande also revealed that he is dreaming of an overseas move after Amakhosi, but he is still undecided on which European league would suit his style of play.

“Every professional player wants to play abroad and I am no different. I am not sure which league I could fit into, but one is one day,” concluded Katsande.
