Former Bafana star Bryce Moon reportedly guilty of culpable homicide

Wits midfielder has been reportedly found guilty of culpable homicide following the death of Mavis Ncube back in 2009

Bidvest Wits and former Bafana midfielder Bryce Moon has today (Friday) been found guilty of culpable homicide in the Randburg Magistrate Court, according to Eyewitness News.

Moon was allegedly accused of murder, attempted murder, drunk driving and speeding after he ran over Mavis Ncube, a domestic worker, who later died as a result of that accident that occurred on 30th June 2009.

However, Moon has been acquitted of all those charges, but he was found guilty of culpable homicide.

The former Bafana star maintains that there was no way he could have avoided the accident and that he was never under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.

The sentencing of Bryce Moon has been postponed to Monday, 22nd April 2013. Reports suggest that Moon could face imprisonment with the option of a fine.
