Gaxa was one of the eight new faces that were brought to Naturena at the beginning of the season and each one of them has had his fair chance in the Chiefs starting line-up except Sakhile Hlongwa and goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo.
“It feels great to be leading the log and I am sure that we can maintain our good run until the final game of the season,” Gaxa told Goal.com.
“I think it was important that we had experienced players in the team, and that has been the difference between this season and last,” he said.
The former Belgian side Lierse defender denied any pressure on Chiefs going into the final matches of the season, as he said that they are experienced enough to sustain the pressure.
“Pressure? Not at all. We are experienced enough to sustain that pressure, that’s if there is any pressure. Experienced players have done well to guide the young ones,” said Gaxa.
Amakhosi are six games away from their first PSL glory in eight years, and they could open a 10-point lead at the top of the log should they win against Golden Arrows on Saturday afternoon.
