“I think from my upbringing as a young child, I have always worked hard. There is nothing more special about me rather than the fact that I am not afraid to sweat during training and during the match,” said Madondo.
Madondo gave Pirates star Andile Jali little room to take a breath in the middle of the park. Apart from that, his passes and attacking provided opportunities for the home team. He said he is disappointed that they couldn’t get full points, but he is pleased with the point.
“It was not an easy match as we had to work hard and try to keep positive after they had scored first. I wouldn’t say I am that happy with a point, because the race is still on, and we need to push hard and stay focused,” he said.
Madondo said they now need to take each game as it comes, and also make sure that they use the opportunities that they get well.
“The pressure is still on, but if we can just take each game as it comes, and I think we will do well. There is no doubt that we are now playing good football, and we just need to finish of well and be persistent,” he said.
