Van Heerden's future safe at AmaZulu

Despite having trouble with injuries that has seen him missing most of the AmaZulu matches, Marc Van Heerden's future is still safe with the club, confirmed coach Craig Rosslee

AmaZulu coach Rosslee believes Van Heerden is one of the players that have been loyal to the club for quite some time and he deserves to be given a chance.

“Marc has been loyal to this club for quite a number of years now. I don’t think we would be doing justice if we just let him go like that, just because he is through a rough patch,” said Rosslee.

The player has been in outstanding form, but again injuries have ruled him out in most of the action this season. This year he has only played two matches at home and the rest being injured. Rosslee said he understands the concerns, but he wishes the player a speedy recovery and hopes to use him again in the future.

“He is a very committed and hard working player that we have. It is just unfortunate that injuries have been on his case, but apart from that he is still part of the team and I have big plans for him,” said Rosslee.

There have been rumours that the coach has started scouting for a new striker for the new season. Some of the names include KwaZulu-Natal born player Sibusiso Zuma who is said to be coming home soon, SuperSport star Mame Niang who is on loan to University of Pretoria and Thembinkosi Fanteni who at some stage played for Ajax Cape Town.
