thumbnail Hello,

New signing Phumelele Bhengu is still waiting for game time at Chippa United, as he has not played a single match after signing early this year

The former National under-23 and Swallows player, said he is patiently waiting and knows that his time will come at Chippa eventually.

“It is never easy not to get game time, but I am just working hard so that when my time comes, I will be ready to take it with both hands,” he said.

With new coach Wilfred Mugeyi, the striker said that since his coach does talk to him, that is what keeps him patient and motivated.

“Lucky enough the coach does talk to me, which makes the situation better. I am not a child anymore, I know that in football you need to wait for your time to come,” he told KwaZulu-Natal based newspaper Isolezwe.

The KwaZulu-Natal born player signed a contract of two years with Chippa after not getting much game time at Swallows. Chippa’s club PRO Lukanyiso was confident before his signing that Bhengu will be the solution to the club as he told Goal.com.

“He is a quality player and we are confident that he is going to have a positive impact in our side. He is one player that I know is capable of scoring whenever he gets an opportunity, and that is what sets him apart from other strikers in South Africa,” said Mzinzi

Bhengu might feature when Chippa takes on his home team Maritzburg United on Sunday in the Premier Soccer League encounter.
