The Chiefs coach said that after their win against Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup, his players must be responsible enough not to make silly mistakes that cost them yellow cards.
“We are making silly mistakes. In fact some of the players lack discipline. I think my players need to start being responsible, because at the end of the day these cards will catch up with us,” said Baxter.
Despite his disappointment on some of his players, the return of the experienced Jimmy Tau in the side might be good news for the squad.
Tau is expected to feature during the match against Bloemfontein Celtic after recovering from a long term injury. He played well in the reserve league match on Monday, which was a 1-1 draw against Moroka Swallows. Chiefs media liaison Vina Maphosa confirmed with Isolezwe that the player is back at training and might feature soon.
On the other hand Mathew Rusika who got injured in the Free State Stars match is said to be out for the next three weeks.
“We are happy that Jimmy is back in the team and we are hoping that he will be playing in our next league match. It is only unfortunate that Rusika will be out for the next three weeks, but we are happy that some of our players are making their way back,” he said.
Another player that could make his return after not featuring in the past three matches is Lehlohonolo Majoro, who is also expected to start training this week.
