Lekata told Goal.com that his reason for resigning at AmaZulu was simply because they wanted him to play in the Vodacom side.
On his debut match for FC Cape Town, the striker started on a high note with a goal. He said the only thing that he wants, is to work hard to get himself back in the PSL, with the assistance of his agent Mike Mekaab of Pro Sport International.
“The important thing at the moment is game time and staying fit all the time. I still have ambitions of returning to the Premier Soccer League,” said Lekata.
The striker said it doesn’t matter which club he is playing for, so long as it is not a Vodacom Club. He said he can still push himself because he believes that he has what it takes to be in the PSL.
“I think I am capable of playing in the PSL, as you know I have been there before. I just need to focus at where I am right now and the rest will fall into place,” he said.
