Yeye in no hurry to sign Chiefs extension
Yeye is in no hurry to sign his contract extension with Chiefs, according to his agent Steve Kapeluschnik who spoke to Goal.com
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane could be lost to Chiefs if his agent’s words have anything to go by. Yeye’s contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign.Steve Kapeluschnik from Stella Africa confirmed to Goal.com that negotiations have been going on between them and Chiefs. He also revealed that the player himself doesn’t want to rush into signing an extension with the log leaders, because he is eyeing a potential move to Europe at the end of the season.
“Yeye’s contract with Chiefs is coming to an end, and they have offered him an improved contract which we are still looking at. He is in no hurry to sign an extension, because we have interest from Europe,” Kapeluschnik told Goal.com.
Letsholonyane has been with Kaizer Chiefs for the past five seasons and he has cemented his place in the Bafana squad over the years. It was previously reported Mamelodi Sundowns are interested in bringing the 30-year-old midfielder to Chloorkop, but Kapeluschnik confirmed that Yeye will only leave Chiefs for an overseas club.
“It is pure speculation and we are not going to entertain them. He’s happy at Chiefs and will only leave them for a European club,” said Kapeluschnik.
