Lebese: Chiefs been doing well without me

Goal.com caught up with Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese who is still out injured, and spoke with him about the Amakhosi’s recent performance

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese believes that Amakhosi have been playing more as a unit, and that is the reason the team has been doing well in recent games.

Lebese admitted that he misses playing football, but doesn’t believe that the team misses him that much, because Chiefs have quality players who have been doing well in his absence.

“I think the team has been doing well without me. We are still top of the log, and credit to the boys. No doubt we have quality in the team,” Lebese told Goal.com

The 24-year-old Lebese is still recovering from an injury, and he said that he is nearing his return to football.

“I am still recovering and I will be back soon enough, but my physiotherapist told me not rush into getting back,” said Lebese.

Amakhosi still top the PSL standings with 47 points from 22 games, and they on course for their first PSL title since the 2004/2005 season.
