The Crystal Palace midfielder will not be replaced, as Gordon Igesund feels that he has enough players to fill the void left by Dikgacoi
Dikgacoi is reportedly struggling with a backache, and the Bafana doctors instructed that he focuses on getting better. Bafana coach Gordon Igesund will not replace him.
"@KGDikgacoi out of Bafana Bafana squad with a backache. No replacement," Bafana confirmed on their official Twitter account on Monday afternoon.
'KG' becomes the second high-profile player to withdraw following Itumeleng Khune's withdrawal from the squad this morning.
The 29-year-old Dikgacoi played the entire 90 minutes of Palace's 1-1 draw at Swansea City on Sunday, and he would have been hoping to feature against Selecao.
With Dikgacoi now out, Igesund is expected to give the likes of Andile Jali and Hlompho Kekana a chance in his starting eleven.
Kekana was one of the outstanding performers in the Bafana squad during the 2014 Chan tournament, and he's been consistent for Mamelodi Sundowns so far this term.
