Serero was struggling with a groin injury in the past two weeks, but he's available for Bafana after spending 64 minutes on the pitch against Feyenoord on Sunday
The 23-year-old midfielder returned to the Ajax Amsterdam's starting eleven against Feyenoord on Sunday afternoon after missing the last two games due to a groin injury.
He is expected to join the rest of his Bafana teammates today (Monday) to prepare for the mouth-watering clash against the five-time World Champions.
This will be Serero's first ever international appearance since he was controversially dropped out of the Bafana camp by coach Gordon Igesund late last year.
The South African national team coach revealed during the announcement of the squad that Serero was 'happy' to be back in the team.
Depending on his match fitness, Serero's is expected to be named in Igesund's starting line-up, as the Bafana coach looks to claim another big scalp at the FNB Stadium.
Bafana still have fond memories of last year when they defeated World and European Champions, Spain at the same venue.
Victory over Brazil is vital for Bafana, as it will boost their Fifa Rankings, especially with the 2015 Afcon qualifiers around the corner, while Filipe Scolari is using this game to assess his squad ahead of the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
