thumbnail Hello,

After excelling in Holland, Kamohelo Mokotjo told Goal that he wants to win the hearts of South Afican fans

22-year-old Mokotjo was based in Holland for four years and is currently enjoying a good season for his club PEC Zwolle.

“It is a great honour to be selected for the national team. It is everybody’s dream to be here and especially at a crucial time such as this. I am looking forward to giving it my best shot as an attacking defender,” he said.

Mokotjo believes he has benefitted in Holland in terms of his personal and professional growth.

“It is a huge difference (playing in Holland) but I think the two factors that stand out is the mental and physical aspect. I must say that to me, that has been very important, especially the motivational side,” he said.

Mokotjo is focussed on the upcoming Bafana game against Bostwana, the World Cup Qualifier at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

“Without a doubt we need to go out there and get a positive result. I think the motivation in the camp is great and I am hoping that I will also get to play and hopefully score a goal,” said the player who has already banged two goals for Zwolle this season.
