Bafana coach Igesund has made two changes to the side that will face Ethiopia in the 2014 World Cup qualifier match in Addis Ababa on Sunday
Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has made a few changes to his starting line-up for their crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier match against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa on Sunday.
Tebogo Langerman has been tasked with the responsibility on the left hand side ahead of Ricardo Nunes who sat out of Bafana’s training session on Wednesday due to injury.
Striker Tokelo Rantie has been dropped and that simply means Bernard Parker will be pushed forward to play as a target man, while supported by May Mahlangu.
Thuso Phala makes his return to Igesund starting line-up and his pace on the right hand side will no doubt give the Ethiopians something to worry about.
Dean Furman, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Siphiwe Tshabalala have kept their positions in the midfield, and the South African fans will be hoping to see the same performance Shabba produced against CAR in Cameroon.
Bafana starting line-up:
Itumeleng Khune (C), Anele Ngcongca, Eric Mathoho, Thabo Nthethe, Tebogo Langerman, Thuso Phala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, May Mahlangu, Dean Furman, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Bernard Parker.
