Former Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs striker Pollen Ndlanya has told Goal that he wishes Bafana coach Gordon Igesund could start Oupa ManyisaFormer Bafana striker Ndlanya said, the Bafana head man should start the Orlando Pirates player and that he will prove what he is worth.
With Bafana facing a daunting challenge away to Ethiopia on Sunday, Ndlanya said Manyisa is the player who can win South Africa the game.
"He (Manyisa) is an intelligent boy and hard working at the same time. I wish Igesund could trust him more because he has so much potential in him.
"The boy is a killer and he is so diligent at what he does. He is the next big player to have in South Africa," said Ndlanya.
The former striker said the national team must not take this game for granted as Ethiopia is known for fighting until the end.
"It is not going to be easy at all. Ethiopia are known for fighting and they have a high team spirit. They will be coming hard at us and we must be prepared for that," he said.
Ndlanya also added that as much as Bafana will be expecting to score goals, they must not get carried away.
"We must be cautious and not get carried away. Our defense in particular needs to be on a high level and well alert," he said.
