SuperSport United midfielder George Maluleke told Goal that injuries have effected his plans for maintaining his spot in the South African national team
The SuperSport United player Maluleka told Goal that his aim is to try and stay injury free during the new season, in order to win back his spot for Bafana Bafana.
“I must say that, it has not been easy for me in the past few months of my career as I struggled with injuries. I am glad that I have now recovered and I am hoping that I will remain fit.
“It one of my goals to get back into the national team and it is only hard work that will get me there. I mean had I not struggled with injuries. I think I would still be part of the team. Having said so, I need to focus and continue working hard,” he said.
Maluleka played well for SuperSport United this season, particularly during the Nedbank Cup and in the final against Kaizer Chiefs in Durban.
“It has been great and a bit disappointing at the same time as you know, that we could not win anything. The most important thing now is to stay focused and make sure that we take the lessons that we have learnt and use that to bounce back next season,” he said.
