Bafana’s friendly game against Lesotho to be played on Sunday

Safa confirms that the international friendly between Bafana and Lesotho will be played on Sunday, June 2

South African Football Association (Safa) has announced that the warm-up match between Bafana Bafana and Lesotho will no longer be played on Saturday, June 1.

The fixture has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 2 at the Maseru Stadium and the kick-off is at 15h00.

No reason has been provided as to why this international friendly will be played on Sunday.

Lesotho has been seen as perfect opponents that could help Bafana prepare for their two crucial World Cup qualifiers in Yaounde and Addis Ababa on June 8 and June 16 respectively.

Bafana will assemble on Wednesday, May 29 and will hold their training session at the Germiston Stadium before leaving for Lesotho on June 1.

They will then return to the country a day after their game against Lesotho, and depart for Cameroon on June 4.
