Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela has been ruled out of the Bafana clash against Central African Republic due to an injury and he will be replaced by Tebogo Langerman
Kaizer Chiefs full-back Tsepo Masilela has been withdrawn from the Bafana squad that will face Central African Republic in the 2014 World Cup qualifier clash on Saturday night due to an injury.
Masilela will be replaced by Mamelodi Sundowns left-back Tebogo Langerman as the national team depart to Cape Town on Monday morning.
The 27-year-old Masilela suffered a calf injury while playing for his club and didn't take part in Chiefs 2-0 win over Polokwane City last night. The Amakhosi left-back has been a regular in Gordon Igesund’s starting line up, despite missing the 2013 Afcon opener back in January.
Langerman has consistently done well for Sundowns in recent games and a call up to the national team will be regarded as a reward for his efforts, but he will have to beat a stiff competition from Thabo Matlaba if he is to walk into the starting line-up come Saturday night.
