Polokwane City midfielder Koketso Mmotong is adamant that Kaizer Chiefs won’t humiliate them when the two sides meet in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup at the Moses Mabhida Stadium tonight
Former Mamelodi Sundowns and the current Polokwane City midfielder Koketso Mmotong believes that they have equal chances of beating Kaizer Chiefs and progress to the quarterfinals of the 2013 Nedbank Cup.
Mmotong revealed that Amakhosi will struggle against Polokwane City because of the fact that majority of their players are unknown to Chiefs which will make things even harder for Stuart Baxter to plan against them, whereas they know what to expect from the PSL log leaders.
“Fortunately we know their players, so they don’t know much about us and that gives us an advantage,” said Mmotong
The 33-year-old Mmotong was not afraid of outlining their game plan against Chiefs. He revealed that they are going to try and contain the Soweto giants in the first half, as he believes that their fans will also get frustrated at their players.
However Mmotong doesn’t rule out the possibility of getting a hiding from Chiefs, but he feels that Amakhosi will be lenient enough to beat them with a big margin.
“ They can beat us but not 24 nil. If we can contain them for 30 to 40 minutes, then their fans will boo them,” added Mmotong.
