Tembu Royals and Maritzburg United Nedbank Cup match postponed

The legal battle between AmaZulu and Tembu Royals seems to be delaying the Nedbank last 16 match between Royals and Maritzburg

The two teams Royals and United were supposed to do battle this Sunday, and the tickets were sold out. However Eastern Cape fans might curse their luck if AmaZulu win their case, as the game has already been postponed.

It was reported that second division club Tembu Royals' player Zukisa Ginya allegedly used an identity document of his younger brother.

The Nedbank Cup Organising Committee met this morning to deliberate on the matter and decided that it was in the best interests of the Nedbank Cup to postpone the fixture. This is in the wake of the on-going arbitration between Tembu Royals and AmaZulu.

PSL General Manager of Football, Derek Blanckensee said that the League will advise on the future date for the fixture pending the outcome of the arbitration.

The PSL has advised fans who have purchased tickets to hold onto their tickets until further notice. The PSL will advise on the outcome of the arbitration process when the Arbitrator makes his decision.
