Maritzburg United defender Mohammed Awal has attracted interest from European clubs, as its likely he will leave the club at the end of the season
Maritzburg United Club manager Quinton Jettoo, told Goal.com that they have had many offers but there has been nothing solid for Awal at the moment.
“At the moment he is still our player, as you know that it is still the middle of the season. But I can confirm that there have been clubs who have shown interest in buying him. We will be opened for negotiations in due time.
“At the moment I cannot really give full details because neither of these clubs have put something in writing, so it is hard to really say where he will be playing,” said Jettoo.
He has been included in the Ghana 24-man squad that will play in the World Cup qualifier against Sudan.
Jetto said, the player's focus at the moment is with the club and his country as he still has a contract with them.
“At the moment he is focusing on doing well for club and country. He is a great player and we wouldn’t mind to let him go for greener pastures,” said Jettoo.
