International break could hinder Ajax Cape Town's survival bid

Jan Versleijen will hope Zimbabwean duo Khama Billiat and Paul Rusike can recover for Ajax Cape Town's vital PSL fixture against AmaZulu
Ajax Cape Town is set to lose Khama Billiat and Paul Rusike during the international break, as the two players will be a part of Zimbabwe's imminent World Cup qualifier clash against Egypt.

Billiat is recognised as the Urban Warriors most important player in attack and will only return from the international break three days before the struggling Cape outfit face AmaZulu in a PSL tie which could prove to be a six-pointer.

The Ajax Cape Town regular has scored two goals this campaign in twenty starts, but is known for providing impetus and energy in the final third.

Jan Versleijen will struggle to replace the Zimbabwean if he is not fit following the international break, which could be a major headache for the coach tasked with securing Ajax's PSL survival.

With a game in hand on their nearest relegation rivals Black Leopards and Chippa United, the Cape side will be targeting all three points against AmaZulu.

Versleijen's side currently sit on 18 points from 20 games, five points below AmaZulu who have improved under the tutelage of Craig Roslee.
