Moroka Swallows striker Katlego Mashego told Goal.com that he hopes his goals will open up doors for him in the Bafana setup once again
“It been a good season. I am hoping that these goals will open up doors once again for me in the national team. I still believe that it is every players dream to play for their country unless you have retired,” said Mashego.
The former Orlando Pirates striker said, finishing on top as the leading goalscorer in the PSL is not his priority. He said his focus is on simply taking each game as it comes.
“I don’t really set expectations for myself because at the end of the day, it creates pressure on its own. So basically I am just working hard on every game that I play and hope to score,” he said.
Mashego also added that his stay with Swallows has been great as he has been able to build on his strength and get more game time.
“It’s been great, there will always be challenges but I am happy with the club and I enjoy my football a lot. Although the club has had its ups and downs a bit, I believe we can still work our way up on the log. We just have to work hard and put all the effort behind us,” said Mashego.
