“We worked hard, we gave it our best, so we now need to stay positive and search for a win. I think it was a good game, we kept possession but we were rather unfortunate not to score,” said Mhlongo.
Platinum Stars are still sitting in the top three but in their past three matches they have been denied a win. Mhlongo said they need to stick to their plan and give their full effort as they did against AmaZulu.
“We are really playing good football. We knew that AmaZulu were hungry for points and I guess somehow we managed to lose the game in injury time. I think my performance as an individual was great, as we created opportunities and we needed a bit of luck in some instances as the ball hit the post,” said Mhlongo.
“There is a long a way to go, as the guys are disappointed about the loss, but as professional players we know what to do, and we are not going to give up just like that because of this match,” he said.
