thumbnail Hello,

Gavin Hunt spoke with Goal.com about his team’s progress in the Confederations Cup, and how United are going to approach the next 11 league games

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt is a relieved man, after his team progressed to the next round of the Caf Confederations Cup, despite playing to a 3-3 draw against Don Bosco on Saturday night.

Hunt admitted to Goal.com that their opponents were tough on the night, but revealed that he was happy to see his team progress.

“It was hard, we were two-nil down, but we managed to come back and draw level, and when we thought we’ve won it, they came back strongly and scored the third goal. It was tough,” Hunt told Goal.com.

The Matsatsantsa coach has, however, forgotten about their last weekend’s result, as he revealed that SuperSport United’s focus is on the their next game away to wounded Free State Stars. Hunt doesn’t believe that he will need to change his approach against Steve Komphela’s side.

“I’m happy we are through, but that match is over and done, and we need to focus on our league games,” he said.
“Football is the same, we approach every game the same way, because we want to win every time we get onto the field, and tomorrow’s (Tuesday) game is no different,” said Hunt.

United will be looking to make their way up to the top eight with all three points against Stars, and Hunt confirmed that the top eight is still their priority.
“We are still targeting the top eight spot, but we can still do better than that. We just have to win our games, that’s all,” added Hunt.
