The Kaizer Chiefs' winger continued his impressive form against Bidvest Wits on Saturday evening and believes that the Clever Boys deserve credit for a stronger performance

Simphiwe Tshabalala was in hot form once more for Kaizer Chiefs during their 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits on Saturday night.

The winger, who was recently named as South Africa's Player of the Week, scored the AmaKhosi's equaliser and threatened throughout the match at the FNB Stadium. Shabba was named man of the match after the game, following yet another impressive display.

Speaking after the match, Tshabalala praised Wits for denying his side the three points.

“We knew it was going to be tough playing a team twice in the space of seven days and I must say credit must go to them,” he said.

“They came stronger the second time around and we got a heavy wake up call, conceding a goal in a critical phase.

“But we didn’t give up, we kept on going and I think in the second half we should have been rewarded with a goal.

“We had to give our opponents the respect they deserve , like I said before it wasn’t going to be easy, Wits is a good side and they have a team that can keep the ball and they have players that can move as well.”

The in-form player believes that other teams improve their game when they face Kaizer Chiefs, which will make the run-in a tough assignment for the AmaKhosi.

“It is always tough for us each and every opponent we come up against, the more you win the more difficult it is,” he concluded.
