Steven Pienaar will play against Reading this weekend and will hope to inspire his ailing Everton side towards the Champions League
Everton has been experiencing indifferent form towards the end of the 2012/2013 Premier League season, with Steven Pienaar’s side set to miss out on clinching a UEFA Champions League spot. Pienaar is set to start against Reading on Saturday, in a must-win game for the Toffees at Goodison Park.
Kagisho Dikgacoi will also be in action in England and will be targeting a win against Derby County on Friday night, as the Eagles edge ever closer to the playoffs for a spot in the Premier League. Dikgacoi continues to be a vital cog in the midfield and will have his sights set firmly on a berth in the most popular league in the world.
Bongani Khumalo made a very brief appearance during PAOK’s 2-0 Cup victory against Leviadakos on Thursday and will hope to make the starting XI when his side face Panionios in the Greek Super League on Sunday. Since the Africa Cup of Nations, Khumalo has struggled to regain a spot in PAOK’s starting line-up.
In the Eredivisie, Ajax will play FC Twente on Saturday, which is another opportunity for Thulani Serero to make an impact. He has been used as a second half substitute for Ajax and will look to cement his spot in the starting XI with a strong performance against 6th placed Twente.
Finally, Darren Keet and Anele Ngcongca will also take to the pitch this weekend in Belgium with Keet set to keep goal against Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Cup, while Ngcongca faces a tough task against league leader’s Anderlecht.
