“We played as a team, every player was responsible. I know we did not start too well in the first half, but we managed to come back stronger during the second half,” said Obada who's on the fringes of the Swallows starting eleven recently.
The right winger said playing with the likes of Lerato Chabangu and Siyabonga Nomvete is a blessing and an honour to him.
“At Swallows we have a lot of quality players and it a privilege to be part of this family. I am learning a lot especially from Nomvete. He is a great player and he always wants to help other players. The rest of the guys are also a great bunch of players,” he said.
Despite not making the Nigeria Afcon squad, Obada said he was very happy to see his country winning the tournament, and that alone boosted his confidence.
“That victory made me realise that anything is possible if you work hard and commit yourself in achieving your goals. I might not have been part of the squad but, I really benefited a lot watching the guys play,” said Obada.
“I would, love to play for my country; in fact that is one of my dreams. This can only happen if I perform well at my club,” he said.
