Modise’s contract negotiations with Sundowns at an advanced stage spoke with the players’ agent Jazzman Makgahlane about the situation regarding Teko Modise’s contract extension with Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns are looking to tie up the deal with their captain Teko Modise before the end of this week, as the General’s contract expires at the end of the current season.

Modise is however, allowed to negotiate with the team of his choice if he feels unwanted at Sundowns, but his agent Jazzman Makgahlane has told that negotiations for Modise’s contract extension are at an advanced stage.

“We are still very much into negotiations with Sundowns, but the deal is almost done. However, we are waiting on Sundowns to decide on what we believe will suit the player’s needs,” Jazzman told

Teko Modise’s desire to play overseas seems to be diminishing, as Makgahlane revealed that they are looking to acquire a three-year contract for the 30-year-old.

“We are definitely looking for a 3-year-deal with Sundowns, and we are hopeful that they will agree to that,” he said.

Modise joined Sundowns in 2011 from Orlando Pirates, and he has reignited his career at the Chloorkop-based club, and for that reason, he was rewarded with the captain armband to lead the Brazilians.
