Platinum Stars title dreams dented after loss to Pirates

Both coaches spoke to the media after Pirates beat Platinum Stars 1-0 on Wednesday night
Orlando Pirates became the first team in the PSL, to have claimed all 6 points against the in-form Platinum Stars side so far this season. Pirates maintained their perfect run in 2013 with 1-0 win, thanks to Daine Klate's 52nd minute strike.

Coach Roger De Sa admitted that it was tough playing against Stars, and believes that the game plan made it difficult for them to play their normal football. De Sa was happy to have collected maximum points on the night.

"It was frustrating. Platinum Stars came up with a game plan that almost worked for them. I think we were a little bit fortunate to score that goal in the second half, but I still believe that my players put extra effort in to win the match,"said De Sa after the match.

Dikwena's coach Cavin Johnson believes that they did well to match Pirates, and he feels that they conceded the single goal through their own mistake.

"I think it was a nice game of football to watch. Congratulations to Roger and his team. Taking nothing from Pirates, but I think we made a mistake in the second half, and they punished us. We tried to put pressure on them but it wasn't to be, but I think we did well against the biggest team in South Africa," said Johnson.
