Pirates defender Siyabonga Sangweni will be out for six weeks

Goal.com has been informed by a reliable member of the medical team at Orlando Pirates that defender Siyabonga Sangweni will be out for 6 weeks
Orlando Pirates have been playing without their defender Siyabonga Sangweni since he returned from the Bafana Bafana squad that competed in the 2013 Afcon.

Sangweni will be out for the next six weeks after picking an injury on his return to the Pirates camp.

“Sangweni hasn’t been playing because of injury. It didn’t look serious at first, but we advised him and the coach not to play him,” explained the member of the technical team who asked to remain anonymous.

“He underwent a scan today, and I can confirm that he will be sidelined for the next 6 weeks,” he said.

The news will come as huge blow to Roger De Sa’s team in the PSL title race.

However Bucs haven’t conceded a goal in their last two games, and did strengthen their squad in January.
