thumbnail Hello,

With just a few days to go before the Durban based clubs AmaZulu and Maritzburg United meet in their PSL clash, Philani Mabaso of AmaZulu says his players are ready to fight

AmaZulu recently made eight signings in their squad, and it seems like all those players are fitting in well with the new conditions and surroundings in Durban.

“We are very excited and we hope that each and every player will have a positive impact on our team. All the players look positive and everything is good so far,” said Mabaso.

The signing of former Orlando Pirates star Bongani Ndulula, who struggled to get game time in Johannesburg is expected to excite and change the style of football at AmaZulu. Mabaso said he trusts that the players experience will play a crucial role in an USuthu side that currently sits at the bottom of the PSL.

“He is such a talented player and it a good feeling having him in Durban. We had to put all our effort in to ensure that we bring him on board, and we hope that he will return the favour by helping us,” he said.

In their effort of bolstering their club, AmaZulu also added local player Sbonelo Khuboni who played for a local club in the SAB league, Young Brazilians in KwaZulu-Natal.

Amongst other players that AmaZulu signed includes Makhosonke Bhengu who was playing for a Hong Kong based club, Sun Hei after returning back home. The 29-year-old player is no stranger to local football as he had played for Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic in the past.

The rest of the names that Philani said he is having high confidence on, includes Najubulo Manqana, Luyanda Hlongwa, Phumlani Mhamha, Williem Mwedihanga and Joseph Malongoane.
