A player close to Arthur Bartman has revealed to Goal.com that the 41-year-old goalkeeper will finally hang up his gloves at the end of the season
A player close to Bartman has informed Goal.com that the 40-year-old goalkeeper is in his last season in top flight football, and Bartman is still waiting to hear if management would create a position for him off the pitch at the club.
“He (Arthur Bartman) doesn’t want to go public about his retirement, because there could be a position for him in the team next season, but he is still waiting for management to decide,” he said.
Bartman has been a professional footballer for almost two decades, playing for African Wanderers, Moroka Swallows and Supersport United to name a few.
Kaizer Chiefs have already prepared for life without Bartman, by signing a 20-year-old Reyaad Pieterse to fill the void that will be left by Bartman, as cover for Khune in the new season.
