Malawi coach Kinnah Phiri has named his squad for the Durban clash against Bafana on December 22

Malawi will be including nine players with PSL experience in their selection. The friendly international will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, and under-fire Malawian coach Kinnah Phiri will be desperate for a good showing after recent losses to Kenya (0-1) and Rwanda (0-2).

Included are Bloemfontein Celtic right-back Limbikani Mzava, Black Leopards defender Harry Nyirenda, Platinum Stars midfielder Robert Ng’ambi and SuperSport United striker Atusaye Nyondo.

The players who have previously plied their trade in the PSL include former Thanda Royal Zulu centre-back James Sangala, ex-AmaZulu defender Moses Chavula, former Orlando Pirates stars Josephy Kamwendo and Chiukepo Msowoya, and ex-Black Leopards defender Dave Banda.

Coach Phiri has some South African experience too, he was briefly in charge of Free State Stars a few seasons ago.

Malawi will be the final warm-up fixture for Bafana Bafana before coach Gordon Igesund announces his squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations on December 30.

The side will then play further frindlies against Norway in Cape Town on January 8, and Algeria in Johannesburg on January 12. Their first match of the Nations Cup is at Soccer City against Cape Verde on January 19.
