Mbulelo Mabizela and Aaron Mokoena are both back in training at Bidvest Wits on Wednesday as the team prepare for next week’s league clash against AjaxMokoena has been missing since late October because of a groin injury suffered in a league match against SuperSport United.
Mabizela has not played since Wits were beaten by Chiefs in September after which he picked up a knee injury.
On his return to training at the start of this month, he then suffered a calf strain and had to miss the Telkom Knockout quarter-final loss to Free State Stars.
Wits are still missing Matthew Pattison, out for the rest of month after sustaining a hamstring injury in the the same match.
Initially officials suggested it might take up to six weeks before Pattison would be able to return, but the player tweeted: “Looks like I'll be back playing end of the month!”
Pattison has been one of the club’s key performers after signing at the start of the season, but the form of both Mokoena and Mabizela has been wayward with Wits among the leakiest defences in the league.
