Five PSL players named in coach Herve Renard’s squad for friendly on November 14Zambia have named five South African-based players to meet Bafana Bafana in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at Soccer City on November 14.
The match will be an excellent warm-up for both sides as they build towards the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by South Africa.
Zambia will be defending their African crown and have taken advantage of the encounter being played on a Fifa match day to call-up a full-strength squad.
Coach Herve Renard has pretty much stuck with his tried and trusted, including five players from the South African PSL.
Orlando Pirates striker Collins Mbesuma returns to the squad, while Free State Stars goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene is also included. Defender Davies Nkausu from SuperSport United is there, along with Mweene’s teammate at Stars, midfielder Noah Chivuta.
Lamontville Golden Arrows defender Joseph Musonda rounds out the five PSL stars in the squad.
There are also a number of ex-PSL players in the squad, such as the Katongo brothers, Felix and Chris, striker James Chamanga and Isaac Chansa.
