Ayanda Patosi is to sign an extension of his contract at Lokeren just days after the teenager from Khayelitsha added to his growing reputation with a vital goal in the Belgian league.
Patosi, who scored away against leaders Club Brugge in a surprise 3-2 away win at the weekend, is to have his contract extended to 2017, Belgian news reports said.
Patosi is in only his second season overseas but has now established himself as a first team regular and is now knocking on the door of Bafana Bafana selection.
His current contract runs until June 2015 but Lokeren are offering him two more years and giving him a sizable salary increase.
It comes as he celebrates his 20th birthday on Wednesday. Patosi moved from the African Soccer
Development academy to Belgium in 2011 and has not missed much action for Lokeren this season, having been a cup final substitute last May as the provincial club won their first major trophy in decades.
Last season he had been brought on slowly by the club, his playing time increasing as he made 17 substitute appearances. But this season he has already made 12 starts for Lokeren, who lie midway in the Belgian league standings in eighth place.
