Harambee Stars head coach Henri Michel has said that he will do everything possible to ensure that his side gets a positive result against South Africa's Bafana Bafana in the friendly match set for Nyayo Stadium on Tuesday night.
Michel notes that the match was very important and getting a win would be good considering that it will be “my first match in charge of Harambee Stars.”
“This is our first competitive match and we want to get a win to begin our adventure on a good note.”
''We are starting on a poor state because our Fifa rankings are very, very low and we need to win to start climbing up.”
Kenya is currently ranked 128th globally and 37th in the continent while South Africa is ranked 76th globally and 19th in Africa. The coach also lauded the efforts of the locally based players saying their input in training has been positive.
''I have had training with the local based players and they are good, they are focused and attentive. All the players will have the same consideration. Everyone must fight for his position.''
