Pirates face Leopards in TKO

The draw for the first round of the Telkom Knockout competition was made in Johannesburg on Monday night
The draw has been made for the first round of the 2012 Telkom Knockout in Johannesburg on Monday night.

The 16 PSL teams were split into seeded and unseeded sides, the top eight teams in the table from last year being drawn against the bottom eight.

Defending champions Orlando Pirates will face a tricky trip to Polokwane to meet Black Leopards, who they beat in the 2011 Nedbank Cup final.

Kaizer Chiefs make the short journey to BidVest Wits in what is probably the tie of the round, though that game is likely to be taken to Mbombela.

SuperSport United must visit Ajax in Cape Town, while Mamelodi Sundowns will host University of Pretoria in a Tshwane Derby.

Struggling AmaZulu entertain Platinum Stars and Moroka Swallows travel to Maritzburg United.  
Chippa United welcome Bloemfontein and Lamontville Golden Arrows face the difficult task of meeting Free State Stars away.

The final dates, venues and kick-off times for the first round will be announced later this week after the PSL cup committee have met.
