Bafana head for Poland tonight

Coach Gordon Igesund will have four training sessions with the team ahead of the Poland clash on Friday
Bafana Bafana leave for Poland on Monday, ahead of their international friendly in Warsaw on Friday night.
The team have spent part of the day in the gym in Johannesburg doing a light workout before flying out tonight.

They will have their first training session proper when they arrive in Warsaw on Tuesday, with those players based overseas joining the PSL players, for a session at 16h00 tomorrow afternoon.

Coach Gordon Igesund will lead his side in a double training session on Wednesday, trying to maximise the time he has with the players before the game against the 2012 European Championship co-hosts.

The final training session ahead of the match will take place on Thursday morning, with the game set to be played a day later with a kick-off time of 20h45.

Poland have battled in 2012. They were dumped out of Euro 2012 in the first round, and were beaten by tiny Estonia in August.

They did hold Portugal to a 0-0 draw in February, the highlight of their calendar year.

Bafana are in poor form themselves having managed just two victories in 2012, a 3-0 success over an under-strength Gabon in June and a 2-0 win over Mozambique last time out.

They have also drawn four matches and suffered a single defeat, a 1-0 reversal against Brazil in Sao Paulo last month.
