Moroka Swallows and Bafana Bafana midfielder Lerato Chabangu has told Goal that they are aiming high for this season's Nedbank Cup as they prepare to take on SuperSport United in the last 16 at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday night.
Chabangu is aware that Matsatsantsa will be difficult to beat especially after their disappointing result in the Caf Confederation Cup in Tunisia last weekend.
"We wish to go as far as possible in this tournament, but we know that they (SuperSport United) will be looking to get a win after their last week's defeat (in the Caf Confederation Cup)," Chabangu told Goal.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaTuks playmaker admitted that winning the Nedbank Cup will boost their financial situation at the club, and added that the players are using the prizemoney as motivation to win the tournament.
"If we can have a good run in this tournament, then everyone will be able to be happy and be able to support their families as you know that the club is running on a low budget.
"So, we are eyeing the prizemoney as an added motivation for the players to go all out and win this tournament," he added.
